The GARR Conference is an opportunity for users, operators, and managers of the national education and research network to come together and exchange ideas. It serves as a platform to share experiences and insights on using the network as a tool for research, education, and culture across various disciplines and contexts.
The central theme of the conference will be the role of the network as an open space for sharing and creating new science and culture. Thanks to the network, different communities can come together and foster truly interdisciplinary collaborations, find and share data and services, apply methods and ideas from other fields to their own sectors, and bring to life a wide range of creations: scientific experiments, virtual exhibitions, live performances.
Within this stimulating and open space, new skills are developed and disseminated, helping to bridge the many types of digital divides that still exist in Italy and elsewhere. The conference will provide a platform for presenting successful case studies or, conversely, interesting challenges that require solutions, as well as for reflecting on strategies that enable research initiatives to transform into large-scale innovation, contributing concretely to the country's development.
