Three GARR scholars win the GÉANT Future Talent Program
This year, three GARR scholars won the European contest dedicated to young talents, the GÉANT Future Talent Program.
Thanks to this initiative, Ilaria Bortolotti, a GARR scholar at Rome La Sapienza University, will present a lightning talk at the TNC18 plenary, which will be held in Trondheim, Norway, from 10 to 14 June. The lightning talk "Back to the future: let's bring schools to XXI century!" will talk about the European project Up2University, which aims to provide teachers of secondary schools with the technical and pedagogical skills to integrate digital resources in their training activities, with the aim of prepare students to the technologies that they will later find in the university environment. The contest was also won by Davide Michelino (scholar at INFN Napoli) and Simone Ferretti (scholar at InFN Roma Tor Vergata), who will fly to Norway to present two posters titled "V-Labs, PaaS open source for virtual laboratories" and " SCOReS: A dynamic cache system for e-Science applications ".
