Registration open for GARR 2023 Workshop “Net Makers”
Registrations are now open for the new edition of the GARR 2023 workshop “Net Makers” which will take place at the National Central Library of Rome from November 8th to 10th. November 7th will be dedicated to training sessions.
It is now possible to register for the new edition of the GARR 2023 workshop titled “Net Makers”. The event will be held at the National Central Library of Rome, located at Viale Castro Pretorio 105, from Wednesday, November 8th, to Friday, November 10th. November 7th will be a day dedicated to training.
The beginning of this new edition will be dedicated to the GARR-T project, which has recently reached 100% completion, to showcase the progress made and the results achieved. The first day (November 8th) will continue with a session focused on the evolution of the GARR network and network infrastructure, with a focus on services, development models, and management. During the talks, changes that will affect not only the technical aspects of the network but also the user experience will be communicated.
The second day (November 9th) will focus on infrastructures and services, with particular emphasis on cloud technologies. In the afternoon, we will concentrate on applications, data, and the presentation of GARR services, giving significant attention to digital identities.
The morning of the last day (November 10th) will be dedicated to various aspects related to the use and evolution of Wi-Fi and to the Campus network.<br>
In the afternoon, there will be a session focused on cybersecurity, a topic that has always been crucial.The event will also be live-streamed on the GARR Tv platform and GARR's social media channels.
As usual, the GARR Workshop provides an opportunity to delve deeper into topics through training courses. In this edition, special attention is given to cybersecurity with the course conducted in Italian, titled “Cybersecurity: Survival Course for Enthusiastic Beginners”, an introductory 4-hour session that provides principles and techniques for identifying potential security risks. It is scheduled to take place on November 7th, in person, in Rome.
On the same day, there will be a practical course in Italian on “Multi-Factor Authentication with Open Source Software”, also held in person in Rome. In the afternoon of November 7th, there will be a 4-hour practical workshop on Wi-Fi, providing a hands-on learning opportunity. Finally, on the morning of November 8th, the course “Registering OpenID Connect Applications in IDEM” will take place, also in person in Rome, offering participants a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.
