Registration open for GARR 2024 Workshop “Net Makers”

Pubblicato il 25 September 2024

Registrations are now open for the GARR 2024 workshop, the annual meeting on networking for education and research, taking place from 5th to 7th November at the National Central Library in Rome, preceded by a day of training.

The event date has been brought forward from the previously announced schedule due to planned works on the Rome-Milan railway line from November 8 to 10, which could cause disruptions for participants.

This year’s edition will focus on updates about the state of the new GARR-T network, enhanced by the European projects TeRABIT and ICSC. We will present the latest innovations in GARR services and the use of the fibre infrastructure. As always, there will be a strong emphasis on security and digital identities, cloud technology, and numerous applications and services that support researchers in Italy and across Europe.

The annual GARR community workshop is a key event for networking experts from universities, education, and research, offering opportunities for professional development and discussion on technological topics.

On November 4, the workshop will be preceded by in-person training courses, particularly aimed at GARR community members.

Join us in person to make the most of the workshop! And if you can’t be with us, don’t worry: you can follow the event remotely. More information about the agenda, speakers, and training courses will be available on the event website in the coming days.
