GARR is seeking a skilled Network Architect to join its team in Rome under a permanent contract.

We are looking for an experienced professional who will contribute to designing, implementing, and managing the GARR network, supporting the scientific community at both Italian national and international levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design the GARR network, ensuring its availability, scalability, and reliability.
• Configure access, transport, and routing systems.
• Define routing and peering policies at national and international levels.
• Introduce new network functionalities and produce related technical documentation.
• Provide internal training for NOC staff on adopted technologies.
• Automate and enhance network functionalities, including security measures.
• Evaluate and implement new hardware and software technologies.

Essential Requirements:

• At least 8 years of professional experience in similar roles.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Industrial Engineering.
• Proficiency in Italian (C1) and a good command of English (B1).
• Advanced technical expertise in network architectures, protocols, and operating systems for devices such as Cisco and Juniper.

• Permanent contract with a salary ranging from €40,540.50 to €51,597.00 (gross annual salary).
