Pubblicato il 14 March 2025

The Skills4EOSC project, coordinated by GARR, concludes and will present its achievements at the Final Conference, scheduled for June 11, 2025, in Paris, at Campus Condorcet.

Co-organized with the French Ministry of Research, CNRS and Universtity de Condorcet, the event will highlight the project's contributions to equipping researchers and professionals with the skills to strengthen the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) ecosystem.

Over the past three years, Skills4EOSC has built a European framework for Open Science and research data management training, offering a comprehensive training program and key policy recommendations to support skills development and the adoption of Open Science practices.

One of the project’s major achievements is the establishment of a network of Competence Centres across Europe. This network will ensure the sustainability and long-term adoption of the solutions developed within the project, supporting research communities and institutions in building capacity for Open Science.

Key achievements of Skills4EOSC:

  • Harmonisation of training curricula through the Minimum Viable Skillset methodology, defining essential competencies for different Open Science professional profiles;
  • The FAIR-by-Design Methodology, enabling the creation of open-access, reusable training materials;
  • The development of an e-learning platform, ensuring continued access to Skills4EOSC courses beyond the project’s duration;
  • A set of training pathways, including Master Trainer courses, designed for trainers and researchers looking to enhance their Open Science skills;
  • Establishment of a Network of Competence Centres and European research organizations to sustain the project’s results and drive the advancement of Open Science and EOSC within a common ecosystem.

The Final Conference will be a unique opportunity to explore the project’s outcomes, engage with experts and representatives from Competence Centres, and foster collaboration between the Competence Centres and European initiatives, including the EOSC Federation Nodes.
