Marco Pacetti
Born in Ancona in 1947, he was President of Consortium GARR from 2003 to 2014.
He graduated in 1972 in Electronic Engineering at the University of Bologna and from the following year he began to work at the Doric University. As a researcher he deepens the problems related to energy with particular studies in the field of renewable energy sources and savings in the civil and industrial sectors.
It also deals with non-CFC refrigeration fluids and thermal control of electronic devices. He also conducted research in the agro-food sector for the transfer of new technologies in the cold chain. Elected president of several consortia, cooperations and companies (CORIT, APRE, SVIM, MIT, CASE, CONICS, ADRIALAB), he was appointed Vice Rector of the University of Ancona in 1991 and reconfirmed in 1995.
In 1997 he was appointed Rector, reconfirmed for five three-year periods until 2012, of the Ancona university, which he wanted to be named "Polytechnic University of Marche" (January 18, 2003). He is the author of numerous publications. He currently holds the full professorship of Industrial Technical Physics at the Faculty of Engineering.
