The new edition of the annual GARR workshop will take place from 2 to 6 November 2020. In consideration of the many uncertainties regarding the evolution of the Covid-19 situation, this years' edition will be held online.

Since the beginning of GARR history, the technical workshop has been an important meeting for experts in networking in the research and education community: an opportunity to receive professional updates and discuss about the trend topics of this domain.

The programme will be organised in morning and afternoon sessions, with virtual rooms where attendees will be able to meet the speakers and talk about the most interesting topics.
This year, the programme will focus on network evolution, news, breakthrough technologies and plans for the future, as well as on old and new strategies to support the research and education community in the light of the lessons learned from the lockdown that changed their way of working in the last few months. We will talk about cloud and automation, e-learning and distant learning, and last but not least digital identity and cibersecurity.
