Registrations for the GARR Workshop 2022 are now open

Registrations are open for the new edition of the GARR workshop - Net Makers which will be held in Rome at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music from 26 to 28 October.

A key topic of the program will be the new GARR-T network: this edition will start with talks about the progresses made in its implementation and the new services offered. The first day will end with a focus on the evolution of the cloud infrastructure and issues related to storage, High Availability (HA) and virtualization will be discussed.

On the second day (October 27) we will talk about LAN, MAN and the organization of internal services in institutions and universities, with a special focus on the design of wireless networks in real Italian situations. Talks about big data will follow, progressing: from the needs of users who manage large amounts of data to adopted solutions .

In the afternoon, topics related to PNRR and scientific data centers will be discussed, followed by a session dedicated to data sovereignty and digital skills.

The final day (28 October) will be dedicated to the new security and risk mitigation models and to services and applications, with a focus on the new service delivery models linked to GARR-T and automation processes.

Training

As usual, the GARR Workshop will also be an opportunity to explore topics through training courses. In this edition, particular attention is given to cyber security with a course on cyber threats (three online modules on October 6, 13 and 20), one on steganographic threats (online on October 20), one on penetratrion testing / capture the flag techniques. (in presence in Rome on 25 October).
