Orio Carlini Scholarships: let's find out the winning projects at Scholarship Day!
The Scholars’ Day 2023 takes place on February 27 at the GARR headquarters in Rome: an opportunity to get to know the new winners of the Orio Carlini scholarships and their research projects.
The themes presented in the various projects are very current. There is a lot of attention for artificial intelligence (AI), applied in particular in the biomedical field but also as a means of countering the infodemic and fake news; then we talk about the digitization of cultural heritage but also about cybersecurity and the cloud.
Scholars carry out their study activities at scientific, cultural and academic bodies and institutions connected to the GARR network, specifically:
- Sara Campanella and Selene Tomassini at the Polytechnic University of Marche, Department of Information Engineering
- Matteo D'Onofrio at the University of Pisa, Department of Computer Science
- Luca Giordano at the University of Naples "L'Orientale", Department of Literary, Linguistic and Comparative Studies
- Gabriele Masciotti at the CNR-ISTI of Pisa, Institute of Information Science and Technologies
- Martina Palmucci at the University of Perugia, Department of Engineering
- Valeria Repetto at the CNR-IIT of Pisa, Institute of Informatics and Telematics
- Benedetta Salvatori at the CNR-IN of Padua, Institute of Neurosciences
- Sofia Sapucci and Margherita Soldaini at the University of Florence, Department of Architecture (DIDA)
The event will be live streamed on GARR.tv and on the Youtube and Facebook GARR channels and the presentations will be made available on the event website: 15° Borsisti Day - 2023
